How does extended storage work and how much does it cost?

MASV offers extended storage for your file transfers

MASV includes 10 days of free storage for your file transfers, but you have the option to pay for additional storage should you need it. Storage duration is determined by the expiry date you set for a file transfer. There are a few places where the expiry date can be set or removed (Unlimited storage). For more information about setting expiry dates, see How do I change the expiry date for a MASV file transfer?

After the expiry date, the corresponding files are deleted from MASV.

How much does MASV charge for extended storage?

MASV charges $0.10/GB/month (prorated per day) and only ever charges for actual usage. So if you change the deletion date, but delete the package early, then you are only billed for the actual time after the 10 days it was stored.

To give you an estimate of the cost here is what it breaks out into at different storage amounts and duration:

  • 1 gigabyte of data stored for 30 days will cost you $0.07

  • 10 gigabytes of data stored for 30 days will cost you $0.67

  • 100 gigabytes of data stored for 30 days will cost you $6.67

  • 1000 gigabytes of data stored for 30 days will cost you $66.67

  • 100 gigabytes of data stored for 60 days will cost you $16.67

Math = ((GB data stored*$0.10)/30)*(days stored-10 days)
