🚀 What MASV Brought to NAB Show 2025

We had a lot to show off at the booth this year, including:

• New integrations with Mimir, OpenDrives및 Qumulo: Making it even easier to accelerate workflows, whether you’re working on-prem, in the cloud, or somewhere in between.
• CTO and interim CEO Majed Alhajry joined the IABM CTO Panel: Sharing insights into the future of media tech and where the industry is headed in 2025 and beyond.
• Our new CRO made his MASV debut: Gene Villeneuve recently joined MASV as the Chief Revenue Officer. Big changes are happening behind the scenes — and we’re excited for the growth ahead.

🔎 Key Trends We Saw on the Show Floor

1. People are re-evaluating their tech stacks. In a climate of economic uncertainty, budgets are under tighter scrutiny than ever. Teams are asking hard questions: Does this tool really deliver value? Is it simple to deploy? Is it worth the cost? At MASV, we believe reliability, transparency, flexible pricing, and ease of use are more important than ever — and it’s clear we’re not alone.

2. Speed is important, but reliability is critical. While speed still matters, what we heard loud and clear is that reliability is non-negotiable. Transfers need to work every time, with no failures, no drama, and no IT tickets. MASV’s reliability-first approach stood out as a differentiator, and we’re continuing to invest in it.

3. Hybrid workflows are the future. Last year, it was all about cloud first. This year, the spotlight is on hybrid setups blending on-prem and cloud workflows. Why? Because cloud-only solutions have delivered their fair share of gotchas — including unexpected costs, surprise thresholds, and frustrating pricing models — especially for organizations without in-house cloud expertise.

With MASV’s flexible architecture; clear, predictable pricing; and ability to integrate with cloud and connected on-prem storage without granting direct storage access to collaborators, we’re proud to be the antidote to those surprises.

4. AI has shifted from buzzword to builder. AI talk at NAB focused less on hype and more on practical use cases around speeding up content categorization, creation, and collaboration. Still early days, but the focus is shifting toward making creative teams’ lives easier, not replacing them.

5. Content creation is exploding everywhere. From broadcasters to corporations spinning up internal studios and working with freelance content creators, the need for efficient, scalable workflows is growing fast. Teams need tools that are easy to use, easy to integrate, and built to support distributed collaboration — exactly what MASV was built for.

6. Efficiency and access rule post-production. Two big themes we kept hearing on the floor:

• Efficiency: Tools must be easy to deploy and give creatives more time to create.
• Access: Footage needs to be easily available across distributed teams, multiple workspaces, and in multiple formats.

MASV continues to lead the way by helping teams send, receive, and organize massive files of any file type and size without friction — no matter where on Earth they’re working from.

7. Our t-shirts were a massive hit. Turns out, a good file transfer platform isn’t the only thing people love — our Massive F**cking Files t-shirts were a huge hit again this year! (We’re not saying they were the hottest commodity on the NAB floor… but we’re also not not saying that.)
