Career Highlights

A founding member of Team MASV, Greg is passionate about the future of media, Canadian technology, and Internet access for rural people.

His role at MASV provides him with a platform to advocate for remote work as a way to foster productive professional and family lives, as well as for waste reduction by ending the global shipment of video via hard drive.

Before joining MASV, Greg acted as a C-Level Advisor and fractional product and marketing leader to growth stage SaaS companies in Canada and the Eastern US.

From 2000 to 2017, Greg worked in a wide range of roles at Ottawa-headquartered creative software provider, Corel Corporation. Greg led product management for Corel’s digital imaging products including PaintShop Pro, global product marketing for Corel’s Digital Media Group, including video editing products Corel VideoStudio Pro and Pinnacle Studio, plus a variety of Analyst Relations and Communications roles. Greg’s career in technology started in Public Relations, working with startups right as the dot-com boom imploded. He has impeccable timing.

Prior to his life in tech, Greg worked in environmental affairs, graduating with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. This was followed by stints in the Pollution Prevention at Environment Canada and the Architectural and Engineering Services Branch of Public Works and Government Services Canada, where he once detected a contaminated site by sticking his nose in a hole.

Back when he didn’t work indoors, Greg picked tobacco and worked in forestry in his home county, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada.
