About Kevin

Kevin joined MASV in 2020. He’s accountable for the integrity and design strategy for all of MASV’s products and services. He is passionate about making sense of messy, ambiguous problems and building inspired-yet-practical solutions to improve people’s lives.

Career Highlights

For more than 20 years, Kevin has provided design strategy and leadership in both the private and public sectors. He has worked across a broad range of markets ranging from healthcare to manufacturing.

He has been a strong proponent of service design principles; the activity of planning and organizing a business’s resources (people, props, and processes) to directly improve the customer’s experience. He applies these principles to help MASV plan and optimize its approach to solving current and emerging customer problems.

He started his career with Corel Corp., making his way to Director of Design and founder of their New Ventures product incubation group. He moved to design consulting and has worked with a variety of organizations from Fortune 500 enterprises to local startups.

He is a registered and practising architect and maintains a small boutique design firm. The two metiers (service design and Architecture) are not so incongruous. Each informs the other. Revealing insights that might otherwise not be obvious.

Most recently, he has been involved in leading the planning and design of the digital transformation of the Alberta Queen’s Bench Civil Commercial Court.

Education

Kevin is a graduate of Carleton University’s School of Architecture.

Personal Interests

Kevin is an avid motorsports enthusiast. He currently campaigns an open-wheel race car in the Formula Libre series of his local racetrack. An avid mechanic and tinkerer, he enjoys reviving and modifying Mini Coopers with his son.
