Containerized File-Transfer Solution Delivers Secure Content Delivery For Every Media Workflow

November 9, 2021 – Ottawa, Canada – MASV (massive.io), the fastest way to transfer large (20GB+) files, has today announced a new Docker-based version of its MASV Transfer Agent for servers.

Support for deployment via Docker containers permits organizations to leverage MASV’s industry-leading transfer workflows regardless of hardware.

The MASV Transfer Agent is a remote-controlled version of the MASV desktop app, without the user interface. It gives developers the ability to interact with the MASV file transfer API while MASV’s service securely handles the heavy lifting of client-side large file transfers.

Containers are used to package software and all of its dependencies in an easy to run format. They are compatible with many varieties of workflows, working reliably in multiple environments.

The MASV Transfer Agent container is built for x86 and ARM64 architectures. Allowing deployment on many platforms, including local desktops, Raspberry Pis, and home NAS (network-attached storage) units with docker support.

“As media and entertainment companies adopt DevOps to handle increasingly complex media workflows, they will rely on tools that can be deployed easily and quickly,” said Greg Wood, CEO at MASV. “By introducing a Docker container deployment model for the MASV transfer agent, media companies will have access to streamlined deployments, regardless of hardware.”

Fast, Reliable Cloud Transfer For Video Professionals

Media companies choose MASV’s file transfer solution because they can send and receive unlimited files, up to 5TB each, allowing for petabytes of content to move anywhere in the world at industry-leading transfer speeds.

MASV, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Technology Partner, is the only cloud-native file transfer solution that offers robust security, through the completion of a Trusted Partner Network (TPN assessment), and the flexibility of usage-based pricing.
